SHAME GAME

Let's play the shame game. Pick a Gulf Coast community. Any one will do.

20 points for allowing AMERICANS to die of thirst.
10 points for letting AMERICAN bodies rot in the hot sun.
10 points for FEMA keeping Red Cross out of New Orleans.
5 points for inane photo-ops from our "leaders".
5 points for fingerpointing while AMERICANS wait to be rescued.
10 points for separating AMERICAN families from their loved ones.
5 points for not providing shelter from the sun, shelter from the storm.
25 points for herding AMERICANS like cattle into a dome then denying them all rights as human beings.

1 point for each tear shed in the South and around this great country

Game Over - we have exceeded the number of points allowable for a winnable game.

Remnant Rant

WE THE PEOPLE have all have tread on carpet, some of it not-so-nice. And some of us are allergic to carpet preferring instead.... hardwood flooring, that's understandable, that's ok.

But give me a fine berber, a glorious Oriental rug
turn me retro with a shaggy shag, a FINE plush, a wine-resistant stainmaster or toe lovin' deep pile carpet.

But some of us are carpetbaggers, and that's not ok. www.thecarpetbaggerreport.com

KEEP THE GULF STREAM FLOWING!!!! Did you know an ice age is coming? The waters are getting warmer, that's why the hurricanes getting stronger.

Feeble Effort Mismanagement Agency = FEMA

WASHINGTON - The three top jobs at the Federal Emergency Management Agency under President Bush went to political cronies with no apparent experience coping with catastrophes, the Daily News has learned.Even if Bush were to fire embattled and suddenly invisible FEMA Director Michael Brown over his handling of Hurricane Katrina, the bureaucrat immediately below him is no disaster professional, either. While Brown ran horse shows in his last private-sector job, FEMA's No. 2 man, deputy director and chief of staff Patrick Rhode, was an advance man for the Bush-Cheney campaign and White House. He also did short stints at the Commerce Department and Small Business Administration. Rhode's biography posted on FEMA's Web site doesn't indicate he has any real experience in emergency response. In addition, the agency's former third-ranking official, deputy chief of staff Scott Morris, was a PR expert who worked for Maverick Media, the Texas outfit that produced TV and radio spots for the Bush-Cheney campaign. In June, Morris moved to Florida to become FEMA's long-term recovery director.

RED CROSS, Hello? FEMA, Hello? DAY 9!!!!!

FROM A HOSPITAL IN NEW ORLEANS---
Thank you for all the prayers and good wishes! I am at work and have been since the hurricane hit. I sent my family out of town early so I could remain at work. We spent the hurricane huddled in the halls with the patients. The hospital had a few broken windows but no flooding. The next few days were spent on generator power with no air conditioning and no WATER!!! Today is Day 9 and we have full power, a National Guard security force and a MASH unit! We still haven't seen the Red Cross or FEMA!!! Wal Mart has been the only one to come to our aid, they sent 3 trucks of supplies and water. It sure makes you rethink about donating money to Red Cross! We are the ONLY hospital on the west bank of the river. Our competition closed their doors the day after the hurricane! None of the hospitals in New Orleans are able to function due to the flooding. There are only 3 hospitals open in the whole area! Our facility had an awsome emergency policy and it is what saved our and the patient's lives! I am here for the duration, being management sucks! lol At least our air is working and we have hot water to shower....the aromas have certainly improved a lot!

we the people

having seen the death, dying and suffering of those in New Orleans, and in order to form a more perfect union, DEMAND the resignation of Bush and Cheney. They are not fit to govern this great country.
